Rejoice! Christ is Alive!

“Christ died for our sins, . . . He was buried, and . . . He rose again the third day” (1 Cor. 15:3-4).

Three days after Christ’s atoning death on the cross, death is defeated! for The Lord Jesus conquered it by rising from the grave and breaking the power of sin. God made Jesus Christ who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him (2 Corinthians 5:21). Through the blood of Jesus Christ, we are reconciled to God,  because His righteousness was imputed onto us that we might be declared justified before God.

The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the central message of Christianity. It is the very reason for our hope! For if Christ has not been raised, our faith is futile; we are still in our sins. There will be no forgiveness of sins if there be no resurrection! Then all those who have died believing in Christ are lost! (1 Corinthians 15:17, 18)

He is alive!

“But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.” (1 Corinthians 15:20-22 NIV)

John 11:25-26

Our Hope in the Resurrection

“And now, dear brothers and sisters, we want you to know what will happen to the believers who have died so you will not grieve like people who have no hope. For since we believe that Jesus died and was raised to life again, we also believe that when Jesus returns, God will bring back with him the believers who have died.” (1 Thessalonians 4:13, 14 NLT)

It is Resurrection Sunday today. As we ponder how awesome God is to us, and how great the implication of our Lord Jesus Christ’s resurrection truly means to us, may our hearts be sanctified and refined, not just today, but every single day in our lives that God grants us.

Will end this blogpost with the lyrics of a new song by Kari Jobe, which proclaims the Good News.

Forever by Kari Jobe

The moon and stars they wept
The morning sun was dead
The Saviour of the world was fallen
His body on the cross
His blood poured out for us
The weight of every curse upon Him

One final breath He gave
As heaven looked away
The son of God was laid in darkness
A battle in the grave
The war on death was waged
The power of hell forever broken

The ground began to shake
The stone was rolled away
His perfect love could not be overcome
Now death where is your sting?
Our resurrected King
Has rendered you defeated

Forever He is glorified
Forever He is lifted high
Forever He is risen
He is alive, He is alive!

You have overcome
You’re resurrected King
You have overcome the grave
You have overcome

We sing Hallelujah
We sing Hallelujah
We sing Hallelujah
The Lamb has overcome
