The Green Bar

After the KindyROO trial class, Cheryl and I had lunch at The Green Bar. Both of us love our salads, and have tried salad bars like Simply Wrapps, Salad Stop, Sumo Salad, Cedele, etc. This was our first time trying The Green Bar. And I declare that this is the best salad I have ever had! and I can’t wait for J to try it too!

The Green Bar salad

We had the Caesar Salad with added roasted chicken. Served to us in a hand-carved wooden bowl for our grazing pleasure, every mouthful was a delight to munch upon → think fresh and crisp greens, molten egg, perfectly seasoned rosemary potatoes, generous serving of roasted chicken served warm, shavings of Parmesan cheese, toasted croutons… doused in a home-made tasty creamy dressing and accented with the use of anchovies. Yum-meh!! We polished our bowls, leaving nothing behind!

With the recent mushrooming of salad bars all over town and the CBD area focusing on serving up creative salads that pack a punch in taste and wholesome nutrients, it has become a common sight to see long queues at these health bars during lunch hours. A good sign that many Singaporeans are getting health-conscious and eating healthy! These health bars prove that salads can be so much more than a paltry side. With reasonably big serving portions that are worth every penny, we are already looking forward to our next visit to The Green Bar to try other recipes on their menu!
