Six weeks flew past just like that, today’s the day Shen returns to Dunedin, New Zealand. Baby E’s room is vacant once again, waiting for Mum and Dad to occupy it when they visit us in October! Can’t wait!!
Good times roll on fast whenever we have fun. The time that Shen spent with us, the conversations we shared, the good meals we had, and the precious moments Baby E had with her 叔叔, Uncle Shen, at this stage of her life, we will treasure them dearly!
Last night was the last dinner we had with Shen, before we see him again in New Zealand this December. We decided to just walk down the street to have Founder Bak Kut Teh since Shen had not tried it before. We are glad he liked it very much!
We managed to finish the generous portions of food served to us, and still have room for durians after!
As we were so full after the Bak Kut Teh meal, we could only stomach 1 durian – to share, for dessert. We walked down the same street where Founder Bak Kut Teh is situated, and came to Combat Durian, and ordered the best breed they had for that day. Sold at $25/kg, we enjoyed the King of Kings (皇中皇) durian till its last seed of creamy yellow flesh! Burpppp!!
Before Shen left this afternoon, he gave Baby E a huge surprise! As Shen could not be at her birthday party next week, he had bought a birthday pressie for her and waited till today to give it to her!
Besides this gigantic 1st birthday pressie, Shen also dotes on Baby E by giving her a Disney baby Piglet! She loves it so much, she hugs it in the mornings and “talks” to it whenever we say, “Piglet”! When we say “nose”, Baby E would point at Piglet’s nose and look at us for an affirmative response.
How lovely… Thanks a ton Shen! Such memories are precious!
