Gardens by the Bay

Cloud Forest

Today was a wonderful day to meet up with Cheryl and her fun-loving boys! We decided to visit the 2 domes in Gardens by the Bay, together with her Mum! We bought the tickets to both Cloud Forest and Flower Dome and started our appreciation tour right from the 7th floor of Cloud Forest, where the Lost World and Cloud Walk begins.

Cloud Forest

Upon entering the Cloud Forest, we were greeted by the cool mist from the world’s tallest indoor waterfall, which bathes the lush vegetation that shrouded the 35-metre tall mountain that houses it. We took an elevator up to the top of the mountain where we found a showcase of unique plant life from tropical highlands that replicates the cloud forest vegetation at around 2,000m above sea level.

We stopped by one of the cool zones where 2 monster stands (for the Monster Maze this weekend) were placed and our children had so much fun just playing around them, enjoying the cool breeze that made their hair stood up (not shown here)! Lol!

After spending near to 30 min at the cool zone merely watching our children laughing and playing peekaboos, we continued our walk while admiring the diverse vegetation and hidden floral gems that were densely planted on the vertical mountain. Of course, we often stopped to take pictures against the fantastic views of the Marina Bay waterfront!

We left the Cloud Forest feeling so refreshed, but that was not it! We continued venturing into the Flower Dome, which plays home to a collection of plants and flowers from all over the world.

Flower Dome

We stopped and smelled the flowers in the colourful changing displays of the Flower Field, which reflects different seasons, festivals and themes.

We also stopped and fed our children with snacks like raisins and apples. That was Little E intrigued by Isaac’s hand signing…

Hand signing is popular these days. Hee!

Haha! And that was Little E offering Asher the raisins that belonged to him! 😀

We spent time letting our children interact with each other while we chatted and rested on benches. Isaac just had to carry Elizabeth, simply because he loves her! He would carry her and walked, or even to lift her onto platforms that she patted at, indicating her desire to sit on them.

They also played hide and seek around us. That was Little E hiding behind the bench that we were sitting on, peeping through to see if we knew she was there… Haha!

Isaac looked so sweet yet cheeky here, as he exclaimed loudly, “Look! My hair is so bushy!” Lol! We thoroughly enjoyed our outing to Gardens by the Bay today, particularly also because the day was spent with one of our favourite people. 😉

We will be back!

We will be back!
