Mum and Dad arrived last night for a 10-day stay with us! We had been looking forward to welcoming them after they left in February. In the blink of an eye, it has been 6 months since we last met in Singapore. It was funny that I said that since we just came back from Penang just 2 weeks ago. We can never miss our parents enough…
Early this morning, we went to worship The Lord in CHC. Dad and Mum were in the main sanctuary, while I took Little E to Harvest Kidz for Sunday school. In August, praise and worship songs included “He’s Able” and “I Do It For Jesus”. And the memory verse for our children was “God is my Helper, I will not be afraid” (Hebrews 13:6).
We met Candy and Abigail today. This was probably the last time we see them in church before Candy delivers her baby girl! It will be a while before we meet in Harvest Kidz again since Candy will be kept busy and will still be undergoing post-natal confinement.
Tonight, we were very blessed to have Mum prepared dinner for us! Needless to say, the spread was delicious! Curry chicken took centerstage, followed by broiled baby bok choy, and chicken tenders! The fare was simple, but that was just the way we like it. After all, home-cooked food is always be the best.
It was a blessing to see how much Little E connects with Mum over a game of Dog & Bone. Mum has always been very innovative and resourceful in children’s games, keeping them occupied and stimulated.
Little E was so engrossed in the game, her expressions revealed joy and gaiety that could not be contained within that tiny physique of hers. It was a real treat to get to see that both 嫲嫲 and baby fully enjoyed the game. Oh, CareBear and Minnie Mouse too… ;p
