It was our 4th Wedding Anniversary today! Time really flies… I still remember penning down the fond memories of our 3rd Wedding Anniversary, which seemed like just weeks ago…
While J was still at work, I brought Little E to Medley Music School as usual, where she immersed herself in total enjoyment throughout the 1 hr class.
We went back home straight after class to wait for J to return home. We have decided to commemorate this special day over lunch at Ember. It had been about 3 years since we last patronised Ember. Our last meal at Ember was savoured before we left for Calgary, sometime in 2012.
We were very glad that most of our favourites are still available despite knowing that the famed restaurant is now helmed by a new executive chef.
This was our first time bringing Little E to Ember, and we were wondering if dining would become a handful. Thank God we were able to enjoy our anniversary lunch without much distractions. We kept our little one occupied with drawing and singing within the intimate and cosy 45-seater restaurant.
By the time we finished the delectable and satisfying lunch, Little E was already so tired, she couldn’t work up a smile when we requested for a family photo post-meal. Our lovely girl was such a darling.
To spare our beloved daughter the agony of enduring through another long-meal by dinnertime, we unanimously agreed to enjoy dinner right in the comfort of our humble abode. A home-cooked dinner of herbal chicken noodles was prepared after we returned from our evening run at the Botanical Gardens.
Blessed 4th wedding anniversary my dearest husband. May God continue to watch over you, every step of the way, that you may please The Lord in all manner with your speech, work and thoughts, all the days of your life. The Lord be glorified in your undertakings and endeavours in your blessed life that He has so graciously granted you, not because of what you have done or who you are, but because of what He has done and solely because of who He is.
The Lord bless thee, and keep thee: The Lord make His face shine upon thee, and be gracious unto thee: The Lord lift up His countenance upon thee, and give thee peace. (Numbers 6:24-26 KJV)
